FX WWDS Season 5 Promo Package
BGSTR's show open and promo package approach for What We Do in the Shadows, an FX Original series adapted from the popular mockumentary, took us back in time to the dark ages when vampires may (or may not) have roamed the earth. Delivering all interstitials, endpages, an FX button, viewer advisory, ID’s, and countdowns, we were also given the opportunity to build an FX original open, applying our custom designs right through to the end. Animation Process
The animation challenge: creating a hand painted animation look in digital format. I experimented with various brushes and erases in photoshop to achieve the look and feel of the original gauche style frames communicated through to final animation. Below are some cel elements before they where composited and rigged into after affects projects.
